Well I didn't get a ton from the show itself because I was on the Hot Rod Of The Year competition reliability run on Friday, then it rained Saturday and Sunday. The people out there rock, coming out in the rain anyway to see cars. Well here ya go...

    Bitchin!

    ...and these guys?

Guasco getting ready to beat the shit out of his roadster. Did I mention he also drove it from NorCal to Indy? That rules!

The same car as earlier but with the hood closed. Hell yeah!

    Yes, a Henry J that's not a gasser.

Hey, that car looks familiar. Dude, you were a trooper, sticking it out in the rain!!!

This car was built from SCRATCH. The guy started when he was 19 and it took him four years to do. By scratch, I mean SCRATCH! As in every bit of sheetmetal (except he grille shell) including the cowl, and the frame...everything. Watch for this kid in the future. Humble and talented guy.

I was driving the Sharp Equipped A......it's owned by a friend of mine. Built flattie, war plane seats, ammo box console. Very, very cool. But at 6'2" I had to have the driver's door open in order to manage the clutch pedal.

A few more of the silver modified. We'll be doing a feature on him and the car.

Thanks for the additional pics of the little Tinman Mod! If it were me, I'd lose the shift knob, but otherwise, it is PERFECT! That car deserves all the press it can get!

he's not 19, he's like 24. took him 4 years to build, so he started it when he was 20. he started doing metal work at 18 i think he said.

i'm 16 now and started metal work a year ago, so hopefully i'm in good shape for the future.:)

Thanks for including the Ram Rods in your cool photos. I can see photo HOG Bob in the back ground.:p

  21. That silver mod is BADASS!! Hard to believe a kid his age, today would take the time necessary to build such a detailed car. Most guys his age today don't want to take the time to do anything. What magazine will it be featured in? Can't wait to see what he does next!

The green modified you liked belongs to a friend of mine here in Muskegon. While on the reliability did you get to meet and talk with Rich Gausco? He's a hell of a nice guy and a real rodder from the word go.

Actually Rich is a friend. I met him through Goodguys - he comes around a lot. And, yes, he's about the nicest guy you'll meet. A no bullshit kind of guy who's done it all.

I must have drooled over that modified a dozen times over the weekend. It's amazing.
