Diana, I think I heard he was on his way to a "G.Q" cover
shoot when that photo was taken! Word.:D

What a tabloid-news day this is already. Sheesh! First ZIP
the Chimp (natty dresser, though he is) outs Howdy Doody,
    one of childhood's iconic heroes . . .

    then, THIS !!!

Actually (probably like every other HAMBer), I have
ALWAYS loved satire:p -- the poking-of-fun at any es-
tablishment or sacred cow (excuse me, Gary Larson!).

One of my favorites is good ol' "Uncle Tom" McCahill!
Besides dealing chuckles, Tom's digs and clever similes
could make or break a car model. One of my favorites
was when he described pressing the accelerator of a
new Buick as "like stepping on a wet sponge.":D LOL!!!

Hey, I know it's a photo thread, but if anybody has a favorite:rolleyes:
"McCahillism," why not toss 'em in with you next photo(s)????

Replica of Henry Ford's first car of 1896, what he called the Quadricycle.
The original two-cylinder Quad was the second gas-powered car to ply
the streets of Detroit, a few weeks after Charles Brady King's own car.
King actually assisted his friend Ford, and when Henry hit the bricks, his
car was three times faster than King's -- 15 mph! Henry sold his first Quad-
ricycle for $200, raising money to start his first company. Some place on
the HAMB, I remember seeing a sharp photo of Henry Ford's personal
secretary sitting in this replica Quadricycle and smiling broadly. I can't
find the pic now. Has anybody else seen that photo?

Henry in later years. Owning many farms, he
was something of an an advocate of healthful
diet, though he has his own original ideas about
the subject. I think that may be Harry Bennet,
his security chief, to Henry's right.
