Wow. It's over... Every year on my drive up to Missouri that's all I wish for. I wish for the damn thing to be over and for everything to be alright - all the participants to be happy, all the bills to be paid, and all of my promises fulfilled. It...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Man, I had a great time as usual Ryan! Thanks for all you do for us! We ARE your people. I've never missed a drags yet and never will. Thanks for the great times! monkey
Ryan As usual I probably had more fun than is legal. Didn't catch back up with ya in the lot, but maybe we'll have a minute to vistit at the roundup this year. Thanks friend, You done good.
Ryan, I don't think it could have been any better, Thanks for all your hard work and dedication, Jack
We had a great time as usual. We didn't race, but had a ball watching, hearing and smelling all the sights sounds and aromas that a drag strip has to offer. The early start was cool. We left a bit early (Vic was melting) and had a relaxing dinner before 10 pm for a change. The action at the hotel was true to form also. I think everyone was relatively well behaved. Thanks to the gals, Carl and his track crew, Bob K, the hotel staff, and you, Ryan. It was a swell weekend! I also have to thank Tom and Clay for the assist on the way home when we had a tire separate. They came along at just the right time, escorted us to safety, and helped us get the spare changed out and back on the road. We owe ya one guys!!!
Ryan (and Marcie)...many thanx for the event again this year...it's a 13 1/2 hour run for us from Denver...but it's the only place I can see the kind of cars I grew up with...and that says a lot...!!! Ain't nothing better than stepping back in time... even if it's only once a year...!!! R-
I can't wait to have the Fiat completed so I can enjoy the #1 nostalgia drag event on the planet in '09.
Some 2400+ miles round trip, five days, 178 gallons of premium fuel, bugs, meat, beer, some tequila all added up to one hell of a good time! Good to finally "meet" you. LOL
Ryan, what can I say. This has been a highlight for the year since the 2nd drags, didn't make the 1st, but will not miss it again. Nothing but words af praise to all involved. Thanks again to all involved, even if I did get to the track late again this year. jerry
This WAS the best one yet! The only thing that could be better is if it was closer to home. That hour and a half drive is killing me. When we were talking in the lot and you said "You bring fans..." I thought you meant fans as in stalkers... I was wondering why you looked confused when I said "I don't get it." It didn't hit me til the drive home the next day what you meant. I'll bring more air swirling/pushing devices next year. Thanks Bro!
WOW! We had a great time. First time but it won't be the last. The sights, sounds and smell of rubber burning, it was like I was back at Fontana in the early 60's. Sorry that I didn't have an opportunity to meet you guy's. Maybe next year... "Atta boy's" to all of you!
Yea this had to be the best one yet! Thanks to all who made it possible...Ryan and his crew, the MoKan crew, the photogs, and definitley the racers! Can't wait till next year!
The BEST event hands down on the planet! I haven't missed one yet and I don't plan on it. Wasn't my favorite one but that's OK. I need more then the 24 hours I got there this year to visit, do and see everything. Next year will be different....I'm getting to the hotel at noon on Thursday and not leaving till NOON on Sunday. Thanks to you and your crew for doing what you do to make sure we all have the best time possible there.
Come a long way from the 1st one, Fraz and rest of us limpin in way late with his overheated Buick. Camped out under the only pop-up gazeobo shade with you, Marcie, warpigg and his wife, and JK and his wife. Man it was so hot that 1st year.
Another terrific event! Myself and the Indy crew had a great time and much like each year, we manage to bring a couple extra. We hope to keep that tradition alive with each coming year. This show is a 100% on the Bubba's grading scale with great people, great cars and a great venue. It's the truly special events that get all three of these things right.
i pulled my kids outta school for this! they went a half day weds [there first day of school] and we left!!! itll remain that way until there old enough to think for themselfs to!!!LOL this was our second, and we wont miss another if were all healthy! i love the races, but i think i love seenin all my buddys and makin new ones even more!!!! course thats cause i dont have a car done yet!! ill be there next year, and in my 53 , draggin my 30A behind, if things go well!!! THANKS EVERYONE!!!! special thanks to you ryan! never thought signin up here would land me so many life long friends! and for that, you are a ruler sir!
I've been to five of 'em (missed the first) and this was my favorite. Great job by all involved! chicken
Yeah Denise after all that I only saw ya for like 2 seconds! And the Pileup will be crazy for me... Thanks to Ryan et al for a fantastic weekend. We are lucky folks.
3267 miles in a Corolla, rolling through rural missouri thanks to Greezy's directions, seeing great old friends, making great new friends, side tripping to Illinois to see my old house in Morris. for me, it was a trip of a lifetime. but then again, so was 2005, with nosurf in a clapped out old pick up towing his coupe through kansas... and now i have a nice little gentleman's bet with Zach to go heads up in 2010... they just keep getting better. or at least, reminding me of how great things can be.
Hmmm, I was not aware my wife was there this year. I know the midget is pretty, but, that's not my wife.
The first one JK, the 2003 drags. I dunno who all was here this year, too many new people. We hung out with weekender's (RIP) family and the Henry J this year.
A great big THANKS for Ryan and crew, and the MOKAN folks. What an event....great time!!! Ryan,I believe you've dumped your bad mojo from the cinematic, the toe cuttin', the wheel losin'... With a morning radar like that and not a bit o' rain, ya must be livin' right..... Thanks again.
