Note the 'de-acceleration flaps' that open out of the rear clip.

Oh please tell me it's yours!?!?! I think that would cool as hell put back together. I'm also guessing it would be worth some large coin if it has that history.

Man, that concept car is beautiful and the funny car is totally badass! The one you found looks like it has definitely seen better days for sure. Maybe it is one of the funny car bodies that never got finished? Seems like it was never painted. Very cool find regardless.

At first I thought it was a funny car body, but after looking closer I'm thinking some kind of kit car replica thing.

I think that unless the owner wants stupid money I'd still try and snatch it up.

I don't know if what you found is from the original car. my brother worked with Vince Gardner in Michigan to build the original car. it was a "non-functional" car built for show only. A model car kit was produced of it back when. Since the rear louvers are not open I would agree with the idea it is a splash off the original for what purpose, who knows. I will see if my brother can shed any light on this copy.

well guys after looking at some mopar books, mr.norms got the mold from dodge and he said that he made 3 or 4 bodyies off of it and that one turned into the flying dutchman and one a way out there guy put it on the streets.

  29. ahhhhhhhhhmazing... i was guessing Bricklin except for the taillights until I scrolled down just a few posts. the HAMB detectives never cease to amaze. I kinda dig the wheels... on the "Chahgha" that is.

LOVED the Charger III as a kid. MPC made a model kit of it too. that car really captured my imagination as a 7 or 8 year-old in the early '70's. maybe someone has a picture of the "swing away" dashboard pod that NHTSA might have a few issues with today!
