I came across a 53-54 Ford Vanette today and had never heard of them until I saw this one. It is all complete and would make a very cool SOMETHING!!! Is this something worth getting? I think these were some kind of laundry panel/deliveries etc.... Anyone have any clue on these please advise because it is for sale all I have to do is call him.
Sum buk....looks just like it wheels and all other than the Grille.....Granted the one I found is sitting in a field but thats it...COOL
We always called them Bread Van's. Probably because the local Franz bakery used them for delivery trucks for there good to the Store's. Don't be fooled thinking the Grill is the same as a 1/2 ton truck, they are not. If you like it, why not? The Wizzard
What are you waiting for? That would make an awesome tow truck/camper combo. Buy it and take us along for the rebuild. Frank
I am going back saturday after next to get it....just not sure if it will fit on my 16ft. trailer. Set it over on a newer model frame and go from there........maybe a dually type conversion????
I just found this sight while looking for info on Vanette's. Imagine my serprise to see my truck (pic above) I bought this 51 Vanette last fall for my mobile DJ busines (i do car shows) It's been slow going but heres the current state its in.
Thanks. It looked alot better than what it was when I bought it. about 1/3 of the "shinny" paint fell off over the first winter. I have started patching the holes and am extending the sides down about 6 inches to make them even with the step and back bumper
My son bought me a '54 Ford Coupe for Fathers Day 17 years ago. It now has a small graphic signature in an obscure place: "GRATEFUL DAD"
