Ah.. Yes. Another reason to make the pilgrimage to Austin this summer. Just maybe. :)

Issue #2? When was Issue #1 released?

    Yes yes and yes.

  9. I will gladly buy it sight-unseen and pretty much regardless of price of admission.
    Very good news-happily retweeted...

I'm in for sure. How did I miss issue #1?

  12. Wll this be a limited edition? ... or will you be printing enough copies that us "common folk" (not living in Austin) will be able to purchase a copy?

I should have mentioned this, but failed to mostly due to a lack of sleep... BUT, this will be pretty damned limited. That said, they will be available online sometime after the 23rd.

I have no idea what Ryan is talking about. He must be drinking again, which is particularly disturbing because he promised the minister he would stop, at least on Sundays.

Oh, wait, can I stop making up stories now? Is the cat really officially out of the bag? I almost can't believe it myself.

Ok, I admit that I slipped a few times myself and told some guys along the way. Some of them needed to know and a few just found out because they figured out I was up to something. Thanks to all my confidants for not posting it all over the web; you know who you are.

I think you guys are really going to like this book. We poured our hearts into it and the result is, I think, better that any of us hoped for. It is a real privilege to work with Ryan and Jeff. These guys are the real deal and I hope you are as happy with the book as we are.

    Thanks Ryan. Thanks Jeff.

Yep, me too: What about Issue 1? Did I miss this? I don't exactly expect an answer, but an answer would be nice.

All right, guys, here's all I know: The earlier post on this Macguffin (no offense) said that Issue 1 of the hardback Jalopy Journal would have its release in June, either the 23rd or the 30th.

Now, Ryan, you're calling it Issue 2, right? Curious why that is, and what happened to Issue 1.

    Thanks.

I will say one thing that I am awfully VERY proud of...... The Quality is supremely high... and it is ALL printed in the U.S.A....... not overseas.

John Mearns is brains and brawn combined..... he rules.

    How slick is this post...

I too want to know about issue #1. 3 guys involved in the thread not a word except "bombs away"? Makes me think there's maybe 2 or 3 #1s. I did a search a few months ago looking for the print version. Nuttin. So what's up? Where/when did number 1 come out?

Thanks for verifiying my thoughts at Flat top Bobs about this. Also glad I didn't blab this to anyone. I might have been ousted from here. Looks GREAT.

This is going to be legendary. Very exciting to see what Norwell cooked up in terms of a layout. I'm also proud that I was able to design an ad for this book even though I was doing it blindly.

More big things from the Jalopy Journal and it's all part of the world wide domination. Will this book be the mark of the beast during the rapture? If so there will be hell to be paid from all of us haha!!
