    The Bergholt Streamline Car

At least a month before the Pierce-Arrow Silver Arrow was introduced, a remarkable car had been running on the streets of far-away Minneapolis that bore an uncanny resemblance to the Silver Arrow. It was the Bergholt Streamline, an innovative new car designed by Fred Bergholt and built under his direction.

THANKS TO THE POST BY SWI66 I have been downloading and enlarging the wonderful photos from the Rochester Science Center Collection. They were taken by a very skilled photographer from the Herald newspaper. His name was Albert Stone and here he is posing beside a 1913-14 Ford that may have been his automobile. They are from left to right possibly Aunt Lizzie Stone and Albert's first wife Mary.

The third photo by Albert shows his wife Mary Weigand Stone siting in a 1913-14 Model T Ford automobile.

I will post and identify the most interesting ones and I am sure you will enjoy them. So in tribute to his wonderful photos I will start with him and his family.

Scenes from the Gymkhana automobile competition at a Rochester Auto Expo.

A man using a megaphone is the announcer.

A National automobile with driver and passenger waits at the gate.

Using a long flexible wand the driver attempts to spear one of the two rings suspended far over his in his Stoddard-Dayton.

The same Stoddard on a teeter totter. The object is to balance your car as quickly as possible.

The driver of a Hudson Mile A Minute Speedster looks back with his saber still at the ready as the potato he hit teeters at the top of the pole.

A really prize of a car, a Lozier Briarcliff Touring on the teeter totter. RMSC

Colorized photo of a drive-in bank. Or as close as you could get in 1924.

Two cars with men gathered around at the Auto Show of 1916 in Rochester NY. The name F.W. Williams Son" appears across the side of one car both of which are Model T. Fords. Being in the sheet metal business they could have built these bodies?? RMSC Photo

A race thay must have been in the Rochester NY area. I can identify the car on the inside rail as a 19111 -14 Mercer Raceabout. Can anyone give us more details on this race? RMSC Photo.
