I am installing an old Muncie on a BBC. I know how to install a throw out bearing on a fork in regards to the tabs. There is a hump on the bearing where the fork attaches. I was always told that this helps keep shell from rotating. Does it matter if the hump is installed toward the cup of the fork or the open end??? I was under the impression it didn't matter as it hits the fork either way but have been told this is wrong? It has to go in the cup of the fork??? Any insight??? Thanks

Thanks but you didn't read post. I know how to set up bearing and clutch what I am questioning is if it makes a difference where the hump on the bearing is pointing when it is mounted on the fork not how the bearing mounts on the fork.
