well my buddy started working out of a new shop for a guy he hooked up with...out behind the shop we saw a couple old cars peeking through the brush.

upon further investigation (machete's and rubber boots trudging through a swamp) we discovered around 25-30 cars..I forget the exact number. Apparently they have been sitting for 30-40 years, and it shows unfortunately.

    some of the cars...

    63 riviera
    two 1961 2dr hrt top caddy's
    1957 cadillac (fleetwood?
    1929 A truck
    64 or 65 GTO
348 or 409 mounted on the back of a 40's military truck
    65 belair
    63 belair
    64-65? wildcat
    40's? powerwagon
    55-57? GMC suburban
    42-47? ford truck
    two late 40's chevy 2 dr's
    mid 50's ford F1
    mid 60's pontiac four door
    1959 oldsmobile 4 dr flat-top
some crazy early 20's or late teens complete frame with wood spoke wheels (S on centercap? studebaker?)
some front end (one of the last few pics..in red with a fine bar grill)
tons of early suspension parts...I beams, wishbones, leaf springs, spindles, drag links, etc...

We will be pulling a bunch of parts out for ourselves, but then we will pull out parts for others if there are particular things of interest. It will be almost impossible to extract whole cars due to the access...or lack there-of

here are some pictures, please help me identify the vehicles which I did not date accurately.

Save those 28-29 Pickup doors. That S hubcap is on a Studebaker.

The Hubcap with the S and wood spoked wheels is for a 1930's Studebaker.
My 1930 Studebaker/Erskine has the same type.

thats cool....I'd be finding the prop owner and striking a deal for parts at teh very least, I saw alot of usable parts still present....

Thats almost as good as a free lot of boobies... not quite, but close

  14. Talk about camoflage!

If the sheetmetal is all shit, the glass and stainless should be good.

    Cool find.

I'll take one of those free lots of boobies.

Painted valve covers, low-horse heads and the small exhaust manifolds--the W motor is more than likely a 348, but still something nice to find.
The front seats in that Suburban are a decent find too.
I'll take the sliding window latches from the Suburban if they're still there--need the pieces on both pieces of glass.

Nice score. If you do need help yarding shit out i'll come lend a hand. I've been looking for an old rusty truck for yard art and it looks like there are some potentials there.

Thats a great find. Although not much left, but what there is would make a great collection and a pretty cool story behind it

I'd be in there in a flash pulling out all the guages, lights, trims, grilles, anything that would make a few bucks on Ebay or at a swapmeet.

    Cool find!

    Cheers, Glen.

That's a swap meet (swamp meet?) gold mine! Man, have fun getting that stuff out of those briers. That's like the biggest, coolest, most dangerous Easter Egg hunt I've ever seen!

  27. Looks like a lot of good stainless steel trim there. Was it allways a swamp ?

This looks like a '63 FS Pontiac to me.

What's odd, IIRC, the only model with the bars across the center of the grille is a GP - '63 was the second year, but it was a trend setting model year in terms of styling for the rest of the decade.

Thing is, a GP should have driving lights inside the grilles (could have been removed)

Could also be something else with other model parts added.

    Here's a '63 GP.

There is only one thing to do, get a big rig or rent a crane---pull it all out, hose it down, strip it, sell or trade it, you will have enough for a good ride or project. This is really a crazy deal but that just makes it more fun.
