    Excellent footage, especially the on car shot. Wasn't Alex Xydias a film maker after the demise of the original So-Cal Speedshop? The mechanic in the Sidewinders(?) jacket looks like one of the So-Cal Speedshop/team engine builders, I can't recall his name. If this film was shot and edited by Alex, he could answer any cut version questions.

    Thanks for showing us that footage. Spent some time at Lions my self in the
    mid fiftys. Even a few passes.

    Thats the late John Wenderski. The car featured many of the same components employed on Ivo's 63-64 rail. It was state of the art at the time. Wenderski was killed at Ramona dragstrip in late 63 when he lost control and plowed into a boulder that was located next to the finish line. The motor was salvaged and later surfaced on the famed Winkle/Trapp Magic Car
