Street legal Sprint Car was seen on the road recently in Southern California. These photographs are on the SCRAFAN message board today. This sprint car was seen on the 210 Freeway. Enjoy.

If that's legal, then Jeff is right.
Far from legal in Massachusetts... cars have to be inspected annually here...

It's no different than a Rail buggy.. and Rails are pretty much seen on the road in every state.

It's no big deal to license a Sprint car for the road, I've done it once or twice.. ;)

Three of my "Street legal Sprint car Body and frame kits" have been sold and shipped to Cali. Keep an eye out for them!

There is no such place as California, it is just a special effect created by Hollywood.

Roll cage needed but maybe a Army tank would be better.

Maybe I'm just missing them but does anyone else notice a lack of proper lighting?

Wow, just wow. How? I am pretty sure that I would not make it too far out of my parking lot....

I think I may need to move South.

It's laying on the floor (the lighting). I think it clamps on, I can't rermember. He had it at our last club meeting. Even more amazing- it has mechanical fuel injection.....on the street.....and it works fine. Pat Ganahl was quite taken back he can run that injection set-up on a street car w/o issue.

Headlights? Taillights? Is it really legal or does it just have plates bolted on?

This is sunny California 24/7 No need for lights, wipers or any of that stuff:D

A friend has a twin turbo LS1 sand buggy that seats 4 and has 20" + of travel front and rear with street legal plates, notice I did not say the buggy was street legal;)

I have a 100" Nance champ car that I want to put on the street someday. I have been collecting parts for a couple of years now, but mine will be Ford powered.

It's a stretch....a CHP could get it impounded over somehing.

If it is under 1500 lbs., then it could theoretically be run without fenders.

It has a windshield, and it looks like glass. Check the last two pictures, where it shows the car from the rear. It might have a piece of safety glass cut-down from another car, I suppose.

Still, I suspect, at least in my neighborhood, that would be heading to the impound lot, while the owner worked on proving that it was legal, even if it is, technically.

Ballsy, though. More power to him!

You don't need fenders in California. I don't have fenders.

Looks like it has glass to me.
