I had an idea to cut these FWD Halibrand wheels down into skinny 18" wheels. ....and mount some skinny bias plys on the front and 8.20-18 dirt track tires on the rear. Anybody know who can do it? and what it would cost?

Seriously, I just logged on so I could PM you to see if you might want to sell that set (saw them earlier today on my wheel thread from a while back) to do the EXACT same thing! Steve
I have widened lots of steel ones back inthe day. cut them on a brake drum lathe with a tool bit I made. My pal wanted to widen his aluminum wheels so they copied how i do my steel. Incidently I just bought those aluminum ones for my HEmi jeEP. He has raced them since the 90s. I know you want to narrow but the proceedure is the same Any mods wider or narrower need to be done in the area where the wheel is similar diameter but it should not be a big deal for any machine shop to cut them for you. A good welder can certainly stitch them back together in no time. Hope you take pics along the way. Don
