Damn... when I read the thread topic I was wondering if I was going to see a 49 ford dash, because I was planning on doing the same thing in my 31 (already have the dash too!)... Ironic it was the first reply.:D Guess it's back to the drawing boards for me. Gotta say it does look awesome though. Nice work!

I used an aftermarket '55 F-100 cast alum. insert, painted the center, filled the lower part of the tank. Nothing special but it works for me!

7. Man, you are in the WRONG place.

The rest of this thread rocks however. I have a softspot for the 49/50 dashes since that is what Rocky put in the Rocky33

I havea spare 53 Olds or Buick dash (I forget) that I was going to use but it will not match what I am doing to the Tudor now if somebody is interested.

I plan on running a glovebox with a clock hole to dress it up a bit. I have put an ash tray in the radio hole too since this picture was taken.

Guys, just for your info there is another thread running on the same modified dash lines, could also be worth a look although this thread seems to be the dominant one right now.
The other is;

Model A Custom Dashes - Would you show me yours?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Some of these dases look great. I especially like the one in post #4. I however am a fan of an A dash in an A......Just seems right. although im a sucker for a 28 roadster with a 37 or 40 dash in it.

I filled my '29 dash then cut out the centre and added a turned panel from behind.Gauge placement is not quite right in pics so I made a replacement with the outer gauges a touch lower.

25. Wish I could take credit for this. It's in a '31 truck that I just bought. Nicest part of the truck: pics don't do it justice. Looks to be a '53 Buick Skylark with the center section removed.

i love the look of a small panel on a relatively flat dash, but having trouble locating switches (headlight,horn,ignition,indicator light,choke,etc.) and still making it look clean.
any ideas?
