    16 inch Ford steel(disc) wheel!

    'cause I do like 'em...
...and I seem to have gathered up a few. Having 4" pointy rivit, 4 1/2" pointy and flat rivit, and 5" flat rivit pairs(with only one 5" early pointy rivit rim- has anyone got a matcher?)
Just thinkin' back to the Eighties though, I had chrome reversed 14" with thin stripe whitewall on a full fendered '29 Tudor build. Did look good. I remember the rear tires were a radial made by Triumph and very tall for 14".
In my Dad's day(late 50's) it was as he says 'always reversed 15" rims with baby moons and big 820 Royalmaster Cushioneers' and then he breaks into singin' that old commercial:rolleyes:

  3. I´m running 5.60x15 front and L78-15 in rear couse I´m after that late 50:s look but like 16:ns just as much.

What was done exactly on the front and rear suspension / frame to get this stance?

Hmmmm. Another problem is fighting off the swarm of choice poon when they see the nicely selected period wheels.

  6. Definitely 16" or (not a choice 1933-34 17")

    Not a model A, but similar fender lines. 5.50-16 & 7.00-16.

Just my opinion but 15's look good on a fendered car but 16's better on fenderless, personally i would never fit 14's to anything, they look goofy !!!

X 2 on the 14s. They weren't right when the Mfrs adopted them in 1957 and certainly haven't become any more desirable over time..

I had a 28 coupe with 16's, my avatar, have a 30 pickup with 16's as a daily driver and I'm building a 30 Sport Coupe with 15's but running early V8 driveline so could run 16's later, still have a set stacked in the garage. I like the early look but the 28 and 30 Sport Coupe both have flathead V8''s and the Pickup has an inserted Model A motor from H&H so the wires go with the build.

I have a set of 15" 8.20 rear and 5.60 front whitewalls and another set of 16" 7.50 rear and 4.50/4.75 front blackwalls that I swap back and forth. Both sets are Coker bias ply.

14's just don't work for me.... but I do like the look of 17" and 18" Ford wires.

16" wide 5's. Depends on what look you're going for. ImageUploadedByTJJ1355099313.269246.jpg

Does anyone know if 15’s would fit 28-31 Model A stock drums? Love the sixteens but found a smoking deal on 15s and tire combo locally on sale.
