These are the kind on memories that will last a life time, in your golden years, or the winter on your life you will still have them as fresh as the day they were made. As a good friend of mine would say "Good show old man", I hope you have many more memorial trips in your time here as you take us along with your wonderful written stories, well done.
Congrats on getting a trip to the land of Dingos, Boomerangs, and, Koala's ! Have a family friend that's been there for over 30 years and loves it. (Also, had a girlfriend named Sydney...but she was from New Orleans.) Welcome Home ! Jonnie
Who the skinny clown in the middle with the funny lookin hat and the Taiwanese safety boots ? HAHAHA Glad to have met you guys - glad you're back in one piece. Might get to drop in on yas sometime this year. Rat
As the other posts have said, it's the friendships made over the past week and year that will stay with myself and jess, it's something that my kids will remember when two sorry looking texans rolled up to our front door in search of beer and a good time. My fav moments from the last week, Blake attempting to break his neck on the trampoline, any of those unmentionable nights, morning coffee at Ben's and of course the run. Had an absolute ball, thommo.
Glad you got a picture of me wearing my "Mr Happy" face. Ryan and Blake - I know that I speak for all the River City guys (and gals), in that it was our extreme pleasure to have enjoyed your company over those days you were with us. I feel as though the language of hot rodding is a universal language. There's a lot of hot rodders who get it, and will fit in anywhere hot rodders gather. You two are big time "get it" guys .
Haha, that is your 'Race Face'! Want to race? Ryan & Blake glad ya'll enjoyed your time here in Oz, Good to hear ya home safe in Texas. It was good meeting and talking to you both & you blokes take some wicked pics.
Aussie's are good people. Everyone I know that has been there has nothing but good things to say about it. One place I would sure like to go.
Man I enjoyed that trip almost as much as you did. Australia is on my bucket list now. Wonder if I can find someone to put me up and feed me BBQ?
Mate, I don't think you would be searching for long when you do decide to come over!..............................but you have to do the housework, laundry, be beer tender......... (Just come over for Bathurst) Very bummed I couldn't make it down, very busy week with seeing surgeons and flooding in the area I was back on duty with St Johns Ambulance. Good to hear you guys had a good time though, you know it was a good night if no one remembers it! Cheers, Doc.
I can do all that and more! Besides since I retired I run things around our house. I run the washer and dryer, I run the vacuum, I run the dish washer...............
The Reliability Run was a blast and so was meeting with you and Blake. Hats off to Thomo and the boys for organizing such a cool event and getting you guys involved as well. Can't wait till next year!
