This is one of the handiest things I have built. It's a combination dolly/rotisserie. It has jack screws in the legs that let you remove a body with little or no help from anyone else. It also has hoops that you add to it to rotate the body. This thing is great. I've had a '64 Catalina on it, as well as the 41 Plymouth.

I made a couple of modifications you'll want to incorporate, if you decide to build this. PM me for information.

You can buy the plans to built this at http://redwingsteelworksplans.com/ for a very reasonable $12.95!

I added some stiffeners to the back. Next I have a few more things to do the paint. This thing is a pounding fool.

Bjinatj ask away I will answer to the best of my ability. The basic design is Richard Klinsmits. Richard & I built the base running machine in my shop in 3 1/2 days. Now I am adding a few more stiffeners plus I will be adding a little weight to the drive head to add a little more ump plus, then I can use 3 in dies now I am running 2 in. We set it up so I could use my planishing dies from my T6 pullmax. It has a 1 1/2 hp vfd foot control variable speed, no clutch.

It appears that you are using a large spring between the two jaws coming off the drive shaft from the motor. I am guessing the spring has tension from the band pulling them together as it goes through the top dies shaft? Are you following me? Am I seeing that right?

Thank you very much for your time. I have been wanting to tackle a power hammer for a while... It would really help with the small project I am currently working on for the last couple of days..

Bjinatj yes you are correct on the spring & belting pulling together. I will be installing a little stiffer spring soon. The one in there now works fine but I want to add some more weight to the head for a little more hit power plus increase my die size. This thing works well now I just like tweaking my equipment for max performance.

The band saw is a porta band saw mounted on the red stand. I got the stand off of ebay about $90 with shipping. I can cut 1/2 in thick plate we use that thing daily in the shop compared to my 15 inch saw. I use bar soap for blade lube makes them last twice as long.

Added power to a harbor freight ring roller. Now it can bend like crazy. Modified an old power gate motor and frame.

Awsome job on the ring roller. Anyone interested in the bandsaw stand should check out swagoffroad.com . They make a stand that attaches the saw to the stand with an aluminum plate and a thumbscrew, for quick removal to cut without the stand. Most other stands require the saw to be bolted in. It was also around $90 and works excellent.
