Great commercial, and I love your last paragraph, Ryan... "Robert took notice of nature." Yes, indeed!

And of course in '65 Buick would be right there with the perfect wagon...

    Sweet Nancy was so fancy
    To get into her pantry
    Had to be the aristocracy
The members that she toyed with
    At her city club
    Were something in diplomacy
So we put her on the hit list
    Of a common cunning linguist
    A master of many tongues
    And now she eases gently
From her Austin to her Bentley
Suddenly she feels so young<!-- footer -->

    I can't deny it
With that smile on her face
    It's not the kill
It's the thrill of the chase

just spent the last 40 minutes at work looking at old car commercials on U-Tube. lots of cool stuff out there.

wonder what car had the first commercial on TV? earliest I saw was a 51 Henry J.

I bought a 65 Rivi when i was 17, it was kinda a pos, but not super bad, it looked good on the outside but had hidden rust, i only paid $500 for it,i had to redo all the brakes and a few other things, it was gold outside and if i remember right tan inside, it had the 401 and st400, man that sucker would go, it was the first car i had the would get second gear rubber, and huge burnouts, i loved that car, it was just such a neat car, since then ive had 4 more, 2 parts cars and 2 other decent ones, dunno why i didnt keep one, i guess i always saw something different on the horizon i liked better.

As a guy that's been driving a '64 Buick (Electra) for the past 25 years I can confirm
that "the adventure starts here"....and never ends

  17. After a little change in his pocket from selling the Jockey, the countdown to Ryan buying the Riviera he has been lusting over (and deserves) begins in 3...2...1... ;)

Poor Lauren...she's only slightly more intelligent than an Irish Setter. Hahahaha
Fortunately for Lauren, with Robert's shrewd reasoning, he chose her over the dog.

My Dad had a '63 Riv when I was a kid, like maybe 6 years old but that car made a lasting impression on me. Pale creme/yellow with a light leather interior. When my (much older) brother came back from Viet Nam Dad handed him a set of keys and told him to use the pickup to get around. Then said "No, wait: those are the keys to the Riv. Welcome back, the car is yours". Man, I need to find some pictures and get them scanned...

I love my 63, just wish they came in a convertable.

  23. For today though:

I was checking my paper stash and stashin' my liquor,

When at the corner of Millville and Old Towne I seen her.

I put on the chase, expecting tail at the end of it,

Her Kerchief blowin' out like the trunk of an elephant.

This dirt road's a bitch, chippin' at the fresh candy...

pay no mind doh, I got confectioner's digits handy.

Riviera's floatin' like a dream, can't be tardy

Terra firma blowin in my tankard of Bacardi..

Chick takes the right, I take the left..

I flash her my grill, best believe it's most def.

She rolls in slow, embarassed at her error

I pimp-nod and grin, and prep my trouser terror.

"Hi baby, let's go!" she says with a wave.

I Austin Powers her and say "Oh Behave!"

The party's rockin' steady, flowin' pasta primavera.

And we ain't late, we fashionable in our Buick Rivieras.

My mom had a nice 64 when I was a kid really loved riding in it with her. She died and I guess my dad couldn't stand to have it around after that so he sold it. I always wanted one. So I figured I ain't getting any younger so I just bought me a real clean 64. Found it in Louisville I'm the 3rd owner came from SanDieago to Kentucky in 06 now in Missouri. Gold with saddle interior 99.9% rust free has a few dings and paint is faded but its a nice survivor.

There's a really nice '64 Riviera on a local Craigslist for about $7600, red. If I was a collector with lots of money, I'd grab it.
