I usually like my Rivs with factory Buick Rallye Wheels (think GS) and wide whites. I know, I'm so wrong for liking wide whites on a Riv, but Bill Mitchell agreed with me: So I can't be all that wrong. Anyway, I'm not doing that this time around... I think I'm gonna do something a little different. It's hard to explain... but imagine, if you will, a stuck up Madison Avenue suit in 1964. He grew up with his homies in West Texas, but is long gone from that scene now. And then imagine him just getting back from a European vacation where he figured out how to loosen his tie and remember his roots. That's kind of where I am going.
I just sold a 63 Riv for my buddy, Marcy bought it. I was driving it around when we listed it and I was like "man, what a great driving car". You'll love it I'm sure!
Bill Mitchell(?!) whutta hack! Kidding...KIDDING! Hey I put WWWs on my 60's F-100...talk about WRONG. Those wheelcovers are bitchin'. Is this you? C'mon.... haha
Always italicize sarcasm and satire... otherwise, it's admissible, and that's the last thing we need as I work to straighten up this whole 'not my camera bag' incident.
Ahh! The exitment of a new car....... Nothing can beat the feeling. The wision..The feel of it.. Wath i am gona do about it.. maybe some small changes..? It realy needs a cupholder.....! And so it goes on....
Awesome!!! We're going to want all the details of the road trip too, regardless of what your lawyer says. ;-)
My boss just got a "garage find" '63 - 65K miles, stored since '90. White with red interior, base model wheelcovers, manual antenna, and crank windows. The garage it was in had a roof leak plus a cat that peed, shat and urped all over it - upside is there's NO mouse damage, but a fair amount of surface rust and chrome pitting. I gave one fender a rubdown with Blue Lightning to get most of the rust stains off, and it polished up pretty well. A friend got it running, and although it blew out two piles of muffler shreds out of the tailpipes, he was able to move it around the yard using the e-brake to stop. I'll post a couple shots of it soon.
Yeah, if you pimped the Riv with white walls you'd have to dress like Bill Mitchell to be styling correctly in it!
Nope... But I do love black on black. Obviously. My absolute favorite factory color combination is Verde Green over silver vinyl. This car isn't that, but it's close!
A boy after my own heart Holy mother of God! That is BREATHTAKING. Rivi's aren't at the top of my list, maybe I need to revise that.
Ha Ha the first hit is always free!!!! If it makes you feel better I know a certain black on black one that just got a set of supremes and a set of 3" drop springs ordered for it. Congrats brother!!! Lumpy
HEY PIMP Congrats!!! Man when your on the hunt, LOOK OUT Your on the hunt. When you said something about a Riv to me at the drags I'm thinkin months away not hours. Look at ya. There aint no flys on you.
