They were installed on the assembly line, but so many of them had coolant leakage problems that they recalled them very early in the model year and switched to cast iron. Given that fact, I certainly wouldn't pay the price for them just to try to use them in a non-stock application. The same money will buy you lots better performance elsewhere.
