Hey guys recently picked up a 1930 Model A pickup truck, i am fairly new to A's i had a 1961 ford falcon before this, and wanted to go older, so heres where i am at.

When i first bought the truck it had weird Headlight Brackets, small 7 inch headlights, 28 - 29 radiator. and the bed was mounted low on the frame, cab chopped 5 or more inches.

Picked up some 9" headlights, new mounts

switched to a 30-31 radiator, shell and put a hood and latches on, and plugged the old wire holes in the shell

ditched the 19" wires for some 17" wire wheels and ford caps with a 550 tire

picked up some subrails for the bed, which turned out to be a Model T bed, and after some work i made them fit

mounted a center rear light, with the commercial bracket and a 1930 Ma plate to finish it off.

Nice truck. You've made a few good choices so far, what other plans do you have?

    thank you!

plans so far in the works is a 5.5 Hi comp head, exhaust, and intake, i will be leaving it a banger. still have a lot to learn on these motors but it seems like there is a lot of Banger guys on here to learn from

I will be leaving the mech. Brakes and doing reverse eye leafs front and back to bring it down an inch or so, and take a leaf or two out till i get it right. but i do like the hi boy look!

Looks like you have a 30-31 Model A cowl and doors with the back panel of a 34 Ford pickup added to it.
The door handles are 30-31 Ford Fordor handles. The doors look a bit short to be 30-31 Pickup which are shared with the Tudor sedan. Are they by any chance wood structured now or look like they have been changed to steel structure?

Cool, though I have to say I kind of dig the old headlight brackets and was contemplating some like that for my roadster.

yep, needs 7.50 rears. Go with BF Goodrich 7.50x17 and the tire treads will match the fronts....nice ride.

Model T pickup bed is the same as a 28-29 A bed.

26 bed have the battery cutout in the front panel , no subrails, but a flange that bolts to the frame for a roadster pickup , and the semi circles on the side where the fenders go, A's do not have. otherwise yes they are the same thing measurement wise
