  2. The cool thing about the build is the input from the original cats that were part of the game back in the day. The knowledge and the history is priceless. As gearheads and rod guys we have to cheerish these days>>>>.

    Ryan...
Couple years ago, i had a PM conversation with you in the chat room. it was like listening to a four year old telling me about how they finally rode a bike sans training wheels. you were THAT excited. big changes to the board, the idea of the alliance and then some. but one word kept being said, over and over... "CONTENT". that word came with a promise of more...

well bro, you wasnt bullshittin. weather you dig something up, or its from another member, this place has what you promised that night... Content.

It is so cool that that Willy's is being resurected and even more so as a Hamber is doing the bulk of the work. We get a peek into the past and with the origional owner supplying the information you know it's "correct".
It's just one small part of this deal called the HAMB. We are simultaniously taking a look back, seeing the present in the form of current builds, and a look inoto the future with the new guys and ideas that are emerging.
All of this while holding on to the traditional way of taking basic transportation and moulding it to suit our needs. WIN/WIN:cool:

Thanks Ryan...I will keep trying to update. Working a fulltime job, taking care of a half acre property, attention to Ladyshifter and then only on my spare time researching and building the Tex Willys is long hour tiring...but man if this car could talk she would tell you all..."thank you"...we are trying to hopefully 90% complete this car for the 08 CHRR in Bakersfield. It already has an invitation to be in the Wally Parks Museum in Pamona...that's when I know all the hard work has paid off.

For me the HAMB is content. A range of "traditional" American modified car content, that covers all the bases. Nowhere else would I have access to such superb, specialised information and the high caliber guys and gals that I do on the HAMB.
It's interesting to me that such a high tech, state of the art system such as the internet/HAMB is embraced as indispensable, by such a bunch of hard core, low tech traditionalists such as us. That says alot for what you've been able to achieve Ryan.
