1952 F1 ford truck

    Trying to help a friend with his 52 f1 truck . He needs to change the rear end gear . Need to know what is the cheapest way to go . What rear ens could we get . It has 3.90 gears now , i'm sure someone no's . That is what is good about this site . :)

    Can anyone help on my friends 1952 f1 pick-up need to go to a different gear so he can drive on high way easier . He has 3.90 in now .we are trying to find a newer rear end with 5 lug .

  4. use a Ford 9" from a 1958-1972 Ford 1/2 ton pickup for stock width. 58-66 are a bolt-in but get the u-bolts from the donor truck. Later ones require moving the shock mounts. The driveshaft will need shortened no matter which you choose.
