I've got one of those. Bought it in springfield this year. Paid $15. Where yours says "show your colors", mine says "Remember Pear Harbor and Keep em Flyin":D
    Mines a little rusty though.:(

Not sure this is exactly a plate but..

In 1944 in Ontario plates were not issued due to WW2, only a sticker.

This is not a reprint but an original in our possession for 40 years
Pretty rare to have never put on a windshield

I don't have any on the car, just a few wall hangers. I sold the Ford cop and the '63 Cal plate/frame.

I saw this one with a black diagonal stripe across it. It was on a rod at the Gene Winfield show in Mojave on Oct. 13. I'm guessing the stripe mourns the loss of the old NHRA whose current slogan might be "No Hot Rods Allowed."

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything, but I recently picked up a plate topper for my '50 Suburban.

I don't know any history on it, but being a Freemason I thought it was perfect.

  24. I think you are asking about my topper that is an original. It was given away during WW2 for a 100 dollar purchase of war bonds. I am lucky to roll with it. Bonneville bugs and tumbleweed are legit and earned. 34 copper plate from Az that I will run on my 5W coupe that I am building(slowly) Topper is from the famous Stadium High School(look it up) that is in my hometown of Tacoma Wa. My grandmother graduated in 1934 . How fitting. My dad in 56, uncles in 58 and 70. I will sport it proudly. What are the chances of finding a nice plate like this with a great number letter designation. I am very happy with it.
