  3. A new topper that never existed back in the day but it looks cool.

I hate to show this one because it always starts a "I want one" todo. It is my favorite and only 5 exist in the world...And I have one!!! nah nah nah!:D just kidding! It is my favorite for obvious reasons. No there will be no more made. That was the agreement when we bought ours. sorry but that was the deal.[/QUOTE]

Didn't Whizzerick make those? I sure miss his posts, such a talented individual.

^ these came from an Estate in the Pontiac Michigan area some time ago. No info was offered when we purchased them ... we iinitially figured they were for the Bonneville dream car, but because they say Coupe, they may have been used when the 58's came out, they are heavy metal and were chromed

Here's a near mint pair of old '51 (Territory Of...)Hawaii plates I want to run on my '51 Chevy. Unfortunately, the local DMV doesn't let us run vintage tags like they do in California.

Nice, those are two very rare toppers. I used to have 4 original 1930's NOS devil head toppers, but I couldn't afford to keep them anymore!!!:) Here is my favorite, found it in a old mans barn stash of parts. It fitted perfectly on the PRC roadster run. Oh yeah, the plate is all original and is also registered to the car too..

Yes he did make 5 and only 5. They were auctioned off on the HAMB to raise money to support the HAMB. He is an artist.

The Flyers is an old hotrod club from the 30s I believe that was revived. I was asked to join.

I hated the Flyers. They always beat our Capitols back in the day. Now I hate the Penguins for the same reason. We whipped them in the winter classic this year:D:D

We have this on the front of our '47 Mercury:

I have complete sets of Jersey plates from '45 to '51. My dad kept them each year. I was born in '47 and we have every reason to believe this was the plate that was on the car that brought me home from the hospital.

The topper is a reproduction of one issued in the early fifties and was used as a fund raiser for the Telluride Rotary club. The plate is an original, unrestored truck plate.
