  1. ....just picked this up today at the bookstore,...Overkill magazine put out by the editors of Hot Rod magazine. It's a one-shot deal as of now unless it sells well. Many of you probly won't like it but I like it;...some cool stuff in it. If you like readin car magazines and like unique vehicles, give this a look. ..it's $7.99 an issue with 100 pages, no ads,

...and one of my favorites in this issue...

  14. The Rat Rod fad must be nearly over. When Hot Rod got into vans or go-carts, that meant the latest craze was now mainstream. Lame.

I'll pass on this one. I'm sure a lot of guys believe these kinds of cars are traditional, or at least close, but I ain't one of 'em, so I'll take a pass.

I Don't subscribe to any print mags anymore and don't often waste time picking up an individual issue. They're all pretty cheesy nowadays:eek:

Good to know makes it more of something I would like. The over done inked ladies in all the mags have taken away from the cars.

Dude ... you're upset over someone else's opinion about a magazine? Really?
Take a few deep breaths .... everything is gonna be okay ....

  23. Not really I just read " seeing this thread, drove to bookstore to check it out. Don't mind wasting $3 a gallon gas as much as wasting minutes of my life that can never be regained. "The mag for real car guys who don't care what others think." Really, Freiburger? Except for a couple of traditional hot rods, it was a collectiorn of ugly, rusty ratty junk. Sorry, but all the "real car guys" I know wouldn't be caught dead with most of this junk."

And I thought that was rude. That's all. Then I thought why would a pastor say something like that?

I saw it today. A number of high dollar chassis hidden under bodies as rusty as the one sitting out in my driveway. The RR boys won't like it as I didn't see any misused tools or industrial parts welded on any of them.

  25. Don't know about all you other people...but this looks like a Traditional Hot Rod to me...

SHHH. We don't want anyone to know how many clowns were sacrificed in the 40's/50's/60's.

This ones gonna get cut soon I bet when it turns traditional vs non trad. Some magazines aren't for everyone, I personally hate ol skool rodz and car kulture deluxe but I'm sure some on here love them, the over tattooed pin up "fender lizards" as they were called that appear in almost every "traditional rod" magazine are getting old and if this is just cars built to drive, whatever style I think it's worth a look. In my opinion.

  30. they have Hot Rod Deluxe to satisfy all the trad guys, i'm guessing this is more of a street freak/fabrication rod style magazine which is cool, just one more mag to flip through while the old lady shops.

shit with the way people are getting now, i feel like someone should make "black duece with a flathead" magazine because i swear that's the only thing that doesn't get ridiculed.
