Thanks for the kind words everyone. I can't believe this thread is still coming up with new comments. What a great response to our project.
"Back Seat Betty" is showing up in alot of magazines...and is rumored to be in more?! Congrats Raygun and the rest of the crew!
she is in the new Rod and Custom and the car has some serious attention to details!! some of the pics in this post arent in the magazine and i was delighted to see more of it. your right there will be 2 camps on this one and i like it!!!!
Not much for theme cars either. This one is really nicely done though,NOT overdone. I like Chip Fooses P32 also. The level of craftmanship is top notch. Looks much better than those cars with the airbrushed sheetmetal and rivets. The guys at Orange County Choppers build their theme bikes WAY over the top,IMO! Too cartoony. I bet that car's a blast to drive.
thats a sweet pinup of back seat betty. reminds me of the time betty wanted buckets so i split her bench!
I love the car and attention to detail.... but I just cant help but wonder why in every pic I see of it, the driver door looks way out of adjustment. For a car w/ this much work in it, I hope that it is just a failure to latch it all the way. I noticed it on the pics here and in the R&C feature.
The door is out of alignment. I noticed it too. But I'm wondering if it's more the lighting and angle of the shots???? That really bugged me too.
I've seen this car up close through out the build.... Both doors have a slight over lap and do not need adjustment?! Hey...Raygun, lets us know either way!?!
So it wasn't suppose to be that way?!? Could've fool me...no wait you did or did you?! Looks GREAT...Don't change a thing!!!
I cant put in to word how perfect this car is to me. It takes my 2 longest loves and molds them into one. There are only a very few cars that I can say its perfect don't change anything. This car is one of them. Thanks for showing it Ryan.
