Paint can not go fast enough on this truck. I can not wait to put this thing together. I have been staring at parts forever dreaming of them coming together.
Lookin' great! Love that engine. I'm using the same engine color on the Olds engine in my '40. Dual quads too.
Ok I'm sure I missed it but what color are you planning on painting the truck? That engine is awesome! Great choice!
Truck is slowly getting closer to finish paint! I checked it out yesterday and I had to snap this picture while I was there.
There was a small chance but the paint work slowed down big time 3 weeks ago and killed that chance. Looks like I will be taking the 63 instead.
I dig it!! Nice work and that Nailhead is the tits!!!! Really cool pictures throughout the thread too!
Wow LONG time since an update.... Mock up before paint and we hated the way you could see the tank and it was not centered. We fixed that later Moved it to our shop Gaps need fixing Need to fix this Shaved emblem but keeping the strip My father behind the wheel for the first time Sold the old fenders and got some new ones Stock rear bumper was too large so we swapped it for a 37 Ford front bumper Stripped back down for paint
Cab painted Redid the firewall and door jams since the clear we used before pinched to much and looked dry Reflection in the back panel Back on the frame Made some custom ebrake parts
Windshield and rear glass in New Shoes Bed parts Stock ebrake to 9" parts in place Doors together I couldn't resist Back end together I put the rear view mirror in the stock holes and it is off center big time. Anyone else have this issue
Yikes, that is a good looking ride. Seriously that is some great work there. Cant help with the mirror, mines a 50 and is bolted to the center w/s divider. Love the bed wood, looks great with the shiny black paint.
rear fenders are on! I had to throw the running board up there to see how it will look Welting went in nicely
Can't belive I have not see this build before.....Very nice work guys and the paint is killer. Best is the motor....I love it...soooooo kool. I am building a 54 also. this is the third time around for it as I have owned it for 40+ years. frame is same as done and like yours all but I used a ten bolt chev rear and used a Heitz front set up. I am running a small block chev with a 350 transmission. Getting ready to do paint on it now. Your post has pumped me up on getting mine done...Thank's
More progress Lots of gaps Dash is wired and I cut a part a vintage air kit and hid it behind the dash with the controls in the glovebox Painted the plate tag to match the motor I used a speedway bellcrank for the new pedal and it was a nice kit Moon pedal powdercoated to match Coming together I made a fake radio and I will pinstripe on something to fake the numbers
I've seen the truck at cruise night in Vernon. outstanding work, I can't wait for more on the Pontiac.
