I typically stay away from commercial posts here on The Jalopy Journal. This site started with a personal lean and despite what some of my detractors might say or think, I continue to work hard to keep it on a personal level. I can't tell you how man...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
This is pretty cool.... Great looking truck..... I had heard about this but had not checked it out... Guess I will buy a set of pads and enter and see if I can win it....
I first read about it and thought, "oh no!, Another traditional car image that will be turned into an aftermarket billet queen!". Following its progress, I am happy to say that they have avoided this pitfall. The truck is nice and somewhat reminds me of Ladd's AMBR contender. This is not a negative comment in any way. It is a nice mix and appears to be another quality build. Hats off to Raybestos! This is surely the best message they could send to Hot Rodders that they believe in the hobby and want to service our needs.
I wish I could make room for it, but I work for a Raybestos plant here in California. That is a beautiful RPU!
Thanks Ryan, now my wife is pissed, she might have to give up her space in the garage and park in the mud. You have a great site, thanks for keeping it heading in a traditional direction.
I entered to win this thing a few months back. Glad you posted it I'd rather a hamber wins it than some schmuck who donesn't appreciate it.
Cool story and love the truck! Btw....The picture of the rear suspension with the brakes showing...they installed the rear brake shoes backwards The big shoe goes in the rear
That thing is about as nice as any car I have ever seen. Troy and the crew really are some of the most talented builder out there right now. I love their work and this truck is an example of them at the top of their game for sure. I can't wait to drive it!
Love the truck. I am entered. Love the story good to see regular Joes makin' it. Its a lot like the stories you read about the fellas from the good ol' days. just out to have fun and makin' it to the top in the process. BTW I have always liked Raybestos Brakes. I run them when I have an option. This is not a plug just the truth.
Great thanks!!!!! Now I want to run out and buy a set of brake pads. you say you arent doing it for advertising purpose. well it worked....... No seriously I do want to buy a set of brake pads now. oh and that RPU is amazing. I like when it is a community effort to make a really cool hotrod.
motor does not look very traditional. I figure if I look at a motor and can not identify it it does not belong in a HOT ROD.
It's the new 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 Coyote engine 412 horsepower. It has Hilborn injection and an adaptor to mount 427 Ford SOHC Cammer valve covers.
Love this RPU... been keeping an eye on the build through a few different online souces. I'm entered -- can't wait to see who wins it!! Would be an absolute blast to drive. Malcolm
Thanks for the shout out Ryan! BTW, if you DO choose to buy Raybestos parts, you can get a FREE Tshirt that I designed using Norwell's art.
It brings a tear to my eye how you guys look out for each other. First time I saw a pic of the truck I got wood for it. Cool as hell. I guess the winner would just have to live with the modren Ford cammer. I think I'd put some 20" nice billet wheels on it and ....
No, it's just that the 5 of us in Western South Dakota that love traditional hotrods get a little lonely!
