The best we could do was the Holiday Inn Express in Pontiac, Il. Is there anything better south of Morris?
As of Thursday there were rooms available in Dwight and Joliet. They are both about 30 miles away, but Dwight is a much smaller town and the rates will be much, much cheaper than Joliet. there's always camping, or doubling up with other HAMBers
Probabley shouldn't post this yet, but depending on if some of my friends from milwaukee are going or not, i may have a room at the comfort inn that i won't need...
I reserved a room at the Holiday Inn in Morris last week for Friday & Saturday $75 a night using Holiday Inns website. They gave me a confirmation number and all. But my guess is they are over booking and will take check-in on a 1st come first serve basis and bump reservations that show up late. I used to work at a hotel for years and many hotels do this although it can be pretty miserable to the guest who shows up at 10pm with a reservation and there is no room at "the Inn" which may be my case seeing as I can't leave until after work at 7-8pm on Friday night.
i would try those on the west side of joliet. rt 30 and I 55 near louis joliet mall or just off I 80. you're only about 20-25 minutes away.
Okay, we're in Dwight...normally I'm too much of a gold-chainer to stay at a Super 8, but i guess it'll do.
