    thanks for the compliments.

once the thing is running, i plan to hop up the motor some. i have a B head, and i think i'll flip the stock intake and run a downdraft. and maybe have BCCHOPIT make me a header.

The more I look at this, the more I like the splash aprons. I thought about running them on the "Dust Bowl" but wasn't sure how they'd look...now I know!!

I understand the too many irons in the fire bit too. I can't focus worth a hoot on one thing long enough to make any headway! Did get the lights going this weekend though and that was a huge leap forward for me!!

Keep it up man!!! LOVE IT!!!!

focus is back tomorrow, Jason. I have 8 days before classes start. The pressure is on.

I need to find a windshield frame for it. new ones are so spendy, plus it wouldn't look right.

thanks tuck. i think i am gonna let the flying beach sand do the patina work on those numbers...just like the 30s, bro.

    haha.

picked up a nice tank for it tonight. hope to fire it up soon. very soon. then, video.

  12. I love 'what if...?' scenarios. For my Tourer? It's late summer 1927 and Edsel spirits away an early prototype A rolling frame to create the first 'Mercury'...

i've been mired in some grown up mud for the last several days, but i finally got into the shop to get a little accomplished. got some wiring done, but not as much as i'd hoped.

i also got a chance to make the steering wheel a little better looking. it was pretty beat up, so all i could do is make it better. several twine wrapped race inspired steering wheels have been showing up lately. i like them, but wanted to add my own twist. i've been into bicycles for my whole life, and was in the industry for longer than i care to admit. i wanted to blend some old style cloth handlebar tape with the twine, and this is what i came up with.
