That's a beautiful build, my model making was never that good.

I've got one of these but I will never be able to build it, Bonner signed the cellophane so I can't or wont open it. I also have one of Brannon's Mustang the same way.

For all of those wondering the ford boys falcon was from south bend in was an original fx falcon from dick brennan. It was bought by stan rohrig and dennis traub. It was raced mainly in the midwest. The car had a mt 427 aluminum hood, doors, fenders, and trunk lid.

  11. So great to see all these pictures of Donny Havers "Mr. 289".......I had lunch today with Donny and I let him know about this HAMB thread and the pictures. He was really happy to hear he wasn't forgotten and sends his best regards to all that remember him blasting the 1320 with that little Falcon back in the day.

Thanks guys for putting a smile on a good old drag racers face......great thread!

holly cow ! do you know where this picture was taken or what became of this car ? my 72 year old engine builder always told me of his old ranchero with a 427 he used to race in cedar falls iowa ! he said it had mr. b on the door ( which stood for mr. barney his last name ) and i know he worked for larry lange ford ! this has to be the car ! he sold it and the next owner raced it for a season and blew the engine up ! i would love to track this car down for him ! any more pics or information ? thanks brock

I sure hated to miss Bowling Green this year. Looks like they had a great bunch of cars. Lack of money and the recent loss of my traveling buddy prevented me from going this year. I had been to almost all those held before and always enjoyed the cars and the conversations.
