CARtoons seemed to always start and end with a column titled, "HAM BONES." For obvious reasons, I've always paid extra attention to these book ends. I still am...I have almost every issue except for a few in the 70's. I love the new K & B stories in Car Craft.
Thanks for stirring up some memories! That publication is definitely one of the things I miss from my younger days.
What a coincidence,.....I just got done going through and re-reading April 65 CarToons and Sept 66 Hot Rod Cartoons! I couldn't wait for Saturday morning to roll around each week so I could run to the candy store with my allowance. Mad was another of my favorite magazines back then. It's no wonder my folks thought I'd never amount to anything.
These early issues fetch some decent $$ now a days !! Thanks for posting them as my copies are long gone.
when I was a kid growing up in Indiana, I dreamed of moving to California and working for Cartoons mag! Didn't quite work out (we can't all be Trosley)! Wish I had all the issues that I lost over the years.
