Great story. No doubt Mark is a good dude. Good luck with the trip and build. Maybe I'll get to check it out at the RJ show.

I guess that explains the smile plastered on Norm's face the other night. Congrats!

First and foremost, Mark (generalgow) is the salt of the earth. He sent a care package to my son when he was sick and ever since I have had the deep and love (yeah I said it) respect for him. He truly is an awesome feller and it doesn't surprise me one bit that he went above and beyond to help this transaction go smoothly.

Road Trip thread!!! Awesome!!! I am working on ironing out some details to vend some Sugar City Stuff at the Revival show. Hopefully my '35 will be there as well!!!! Can't wait to see the Riv. I need to see what all the fuss is about.

  8. See you M f'ers in Baltimore! Whoop, whoop!

  9. Congrats to the both of you, great score!

  13. That's "Not" HAMB approved...! Hahaha... I couldn't resist a Riv either!

  14. So, the general is storing them for you? I wonder how hard he's listening to either the winged fella or horned fella sitting on his shoulder? Me, I'm weak. You'd be picking up those cars with bald tires and bits of rubber stuck to the lower quarters.

  16. If I remember correctly....Ryan extended the year to '65 JUST to include a Riviera. I just saw a REAL nice '65 in Orange, for sale about an hour ago.

The HAMB has ALWAYS been 1965 and under. Folks get confused as the classifieds are 64 and under. The reason for the discrepancy? It's easier to moderate the muscle cars and what not out of the general discussion than it is the classified ads.

  18. I stand corrected,Chief...obviously the person who told me this was ill-informed,haha. I wasn't here in the early days.

  19. Waiting for updated avatar pic soon ...right?
Your other cars dint make that happen ?.... Right?

You're more than welcome, buddy. But I really hope that I did what almost anyone would do given the opportunity. What's the sense in creating an online community of hot rodders if we aren't gonna act like a real life community given the chance?

No biggie. Glad to help. And fear not, the rubber is all on the tires and not on the quarters, or pavement...

  21. So you bought 4 new tires!?:D

Can't wait to see pics! The 65 Riv had the same effect on me. Saw one for the first time in an Esquire magazine in 1999. I was mesmerized from the first time I laid eyes on it. Looking forward to following this post!
