Hey, I love the car, I was just being a wise-acre!

PhShop my friend?! ....mmmaybe just an acquaintance....

Royalshifter, that black wheeled, hammered bucket is NICE!
Lots of good ones on here.

Howabout Danny Iechstead's(?!) 70's T....I know....60's, but there were some stellar buckets from the 70's.

    Looks like the front half of a 27 T but it's a 1922 Dodge
    My wife Kelly drives it.

Engine is an Offy equiped 250 CI 6 out of a 68 Camaro

The newest parts on the car are from 1968

For the historical record. The way I remember experiencing the story… The first time I saw the car was @ Passo in black primer. Never tracked down the owner (Probly who Keith say's it was) I know John La Belle was thinking of buying it… But next time I saw it Buddy (Pres of Lucky Devils, front man of Hot Rod Trio) was the owner. And it was purple (If I can get my scanner to work I have photo's of him showing up at A&W in Passo after driving up from Orange.) The next year he showed up with the Model A coupe that eventually became Cabb's. And Dan Collins owned the purple T-Bucket. But I belive he did tweak it into it's coolest shape. He eventuly actioned it off on e-bay & now your buddy own's it.

This belongs to a friend of my family, Charley Crisp. He built it in 196idon'tknow when he was like 16. He can still be seen all around central Ohio beating the hell out of it anytime it's warm out.God only knows how many engines and trannys it's had over the years. Sorry for the crappy picture, it's the only one I've got.

Thanks for sharing all the pics. Some real nice T-Buckets. I do have a question? Why do you not see very many tall T's around? were/are they not cool?

  13. I love this thread as I said before, it's the "T" buckets of this era that got me hooked into rodding. Regards tall "T"s, it depends where you look, I just go to my garage.:D;)

Volksrod was the body/kit name you could also buy these with a slightly longer bed to accept Corvair 6 engines.I would like to have a Corvair one today.

This purple T was at a local (Anderson, Indiana) Chrysler dealership setting in the showroom when I was in high school. That would have been in '66-67. A few years later it was at a country used car lot. We had some local indoor car shows in the early 70's and he brought it. Then it disappeared. Where is it now? I always liked it , it was a very well detailed car.

The second pic is a modified Chevy, I think a 1927. But it looks like a T bucket.

Check out November, 1973 Rod Action magazine. I've tried to scan a photo from mid 80's, when it was in yellow. Probably not really an on-topic car on this board, so if anyone needs more info, send me a pm. I owned the car for about 4 years. Last I heard it's in Michigan. Stu /p.s., NOT MOPAR. Corvair powered.
