I wondered what this car looked like now. I was around this build since the beginning. Haha, my first crappy pinstriping design might still be under that paint. Did you take the zoomies off or was it sold without them?

I remember that coupe from a few years back. Very clean, and the hidden roll cage was a cool touch.

  6. Some nice stuff here.I especially liked the Hartford Autorama pics of Chuck Vranas. The two I enjoyed most were the pic of the R&C Dream Truck BEFORE those horrible fins were attached and the custom 53 Old Fiesta(a REAL one)getting fueled. That was an R&C cover car sometime in 1954 and I think it was called the Maki Special.

Here's one of a friend's Model A taken somewhere around 1957-58 when it had the flathead motor. It later sported a 347 Pontiac w/tri-power and was painted gold.Belonged to Al Frecca of Everett Massachusetts. He's still around and crazy as ever but the car is long gone.

The others I've posted before but what the hell;I'll post them again. Some were taken in Boston and others in Hartford CT.

Im talking bout the custom side of things with all the white walls and hub caps!

  14. I noticed a few of those cars with grills pushed way down low, like the "Graffiti coupe".

  15. Built this one bout two years ago. I didn't like it much, so I never really posted it here.

It's what the customer ordered. It now lives in Sweden... owner was responcable for paint and interior. Sucked, cause I really wanted to paint this one... I'll keep the concept for a future project.

The over chopped grills sometimes work on these cars, I'm more on the side of a grill following the body lines.

Yep, you'll also notice the ubiquitous 39' Ford Pickup truck grill on a bunch of these cars and a bunch of track noses as well.

  22. Sorry, just this one. I wasn't too thrilled with the build since I couldn't paint it, so I did'nt take a lot of pics. I think that is the real thrill in finishing off a late 50's early 60's rod.

The last few cars I have sent to Europe really never got paint. It is a lot easier for them to get em through if the paint looks like shit, and they can claim them as junk.

    Hiya Shane!

I know I have posted these before, but here is the 'Golden Rod' now in Skip Barber's collection, built in, er mostly sunny New Jersey, by Jack Lentz.
