After seeing this I think every one Ford made will eventually show up.Salvaged one in '98 that was taken to the dump in Hilo,HI.

  15. DANG!! Yep, that's too rough, and you've got too many cool cars already.

Since I'm right up the road, I'll take it off your hands.

Seriously, where did you find it? You're a bloodhound on this stuff.

I kinda had a 32 story like that. Back in the mid-1990's I moved to a new part of the state. During one of my explorations of the area I spotted a 32 5W behind a barn with the tarp blowing off it. I stopped to see if it was for sale. The old guy had had it since 1955 and it had been sitting in that spot for at least 25 years. All the local guys knew about it, but it never was for sale. The old guy was just recovering from a stroke and had decided that he was never going to get around to it. All he wanted now was a riding lawn mower. So for the price of a nice riding mower ($1200), I bought the rusty remains of the coupe. It was tough, but it yielded some good parts for my Dad's 32 and I more than made my money back in it's resale. Sometime you just have to be in the right place at the right time. BTW, I passed on another 32 5W not 3 miles from this one that was an old hot rod for about $6500. I'm kicking myself on that one but when you're in your early 20's ya just don't have that kinda dough to toss around.

Thanks for the comments, I will post some more pics tomorrow when I get in. As to plans, I haven't really decided yet. Right now I am focusing on my coupe...this just sort of happened. I didn't steal the car by any means, and to be honest I am more into coupes than roadsters. However, this is the first Gennie roadster I have come across that I could actually buy & I am pretty excited about it...

  18. Yeah, coupes are better. Sell it to me and make yourself happy.

The more quitters there are, the more chances us stayers have in finding one.
Good score, congrats, you suck, more photos etc etc...

Well, I hate to say what I paid, it still kind of turns my stomach when I say it out loud. Lets just say that it was a little lower than the cost of a Brookville body. I may have been better off buying a Brookville, but this was the first real roadster that I have came across that I could buy & I am a little obsessive when it comes to '32's. The bad thing is, I haven't seen any roadster projects (basket case or otherwise) priced in a long time, & with the popularity & acceptance of the repro bodies I really don't know if I did alright or not. Regardless, I am happy to have it...
By the way, It looks like I'll be able to take this weekend off & I will post some more pictures if I do. I haven't been ignoring requests for more pics, I just haven't been able to get out to the garage since I brought it home.
