    My question exactly.

  5. is there a problem when cutting too deep? i know how heavy handed i am taping up a cardboard box ... that is skilled work with a sharp blade indeed

like mentioned the final outcome will kinda betray the tapin involved ...

???? will the rest of the car get this ?
    inside the glove box?
    ????????????????

    thank you

It's always neat to see the process. Before the "final product" is presented. Build threads, stuff like that.
The taping topic is something that probably would have never entered my mind on its own.

Thanks to the folks that put that piece of awesome together.

Dude has got talent out the freekin' ying yang !

Jeezus man...are you blind. Hands of a bricklayer....he's no saint.

Hey Ryan, I like the early striping attempts on the hot water service. That's gonna be worth money one day.

Just wait for the price of scrap to come up a bit.;)

  16. Bricklayer! You caught me out! I do a little hand modelling on the side, mainly for bricklayers and VB ad's.

Actually, the surgeon reference brings a question to my mind. Have you tried using a scalpel instead of the exacto knife? Back in my design days it was a much used tool and I still use one quite often these days.

  18. yes I have and I always come back to the $2 unit as I refresh the blade tip quite often.

  19. Cant wait to see the finished paint.

When I saw this post the other day, I didn't open it because I was thinking Tape, as in video tape... Absolutely cool, tons of talent, every bit of my respect given, and I can't wait to see the finished product, but... Watching that made me sooooo happy that I'm a primer-it-and-call-it done HOT ROD kinda guy!!! Well, maybe one color.

It's nice to know that the youth of today still have a passion for automotive art.I've taped cars before, but nothin' like that.

Just to give my American brothers the skinny here - the Ford brothers are heavily involved in the traditional hot rod scene here in Australia. Ryan does pin striping and both he and Kyle (correct me if I'm wrong) run chopped magazine - a cool little zine here in Oz that focuses on traditional rods and kustom cars and the odd bobber / chopper as well. They also run what I think is my favourite show in Australia (also called chopped). Again open only to pre 64 traditional cars. Also has dirt drags now which are insane! Props for bringing so much to the scene here boys!
