  1. I've considered Econo bezels for my Comet, too.

  2. that's exactly it, it was an Aussie to begin with. Good catch.

This one that was in that Rustoleum paint story in Hot Rod was pretty good looking. Just basic and simple.

Thanks for the kind words. I've got a lot left to do and alot more cool ideas. The bags at least should be done for the ride to Billetproof.

  14. Now that MO has thawed out, check the VIN- that looks to be a 61.

  15. Your engine is looking GOOOOOD. Clever location phrasing too. You gotta love a man that only wants to be friends. Ha!

the vin and title say 62...the hood definatly has been changed and the bumper was mangled, so i guess somebody could've changed the grill out at some point...what all's different??

  17. Thanks LaGrasta. I wish my body look as good as yours, car body that is. Once I get it on the road, I'll post full details at fordsix. Another engine shot:

I like the Black gasser ( 64-65?? ). I'd put a Teardrop Hood on her

  21. That Black Gasser is great. It must be a riot to drive to High School. Me, I had to pushstart '64 F100; it did have a straight axle... I don't know about a teardrop though. Thanks Eric on the complement!

    Chris DP,

I had no idea the '63 Sprint doors were so different than the Ranchero's. Chopping the top and adding the Sprint windshield to your truck will look killer and definitely turn heads when it's completed. The fact you're doing it to a rare V8 Four Speed '631/2 Ranchero, will have some people scratching their heads wondering if it's factory original.

2 door wagons are rad dude! with the v8 conversion already done, that even sweetens the deal! i say snatch it up!

here's a pic of my ranchero, i added the astro's last night but they barely rub against the inner fender, so till i can radius the wheels wells to match the fronts i'll have to keep my chrome smoothies on it.

Here's my Shelby Falcon Sedan Delivery, a clone of Pete Brock's famous early '60's Shelby American shop parts chaser and tow car for the 289 Cobra roadsters. His was a '63, this one is a '61 with a 302, top loader, 9 inch rear and Sprint Interior. Fun car to drive a real head turner around town.

It's going to take a lot of work to make it right, luckily the cowl and lower windshield trim is the same between the two cars. There is about an inch gap between the door glass and the rear pillar. To keep it in proportion, I think I'm going to have to move the trailing edge of the pillar forward at least the same distance as the gap I need to fill. The post will look fatter as it is from the chop, If I just filled the gap it would look even worse. I think I'm going to move the rear window forward a bit as well and maybe straighten it out and possibly have it roll up and down. I don't know yet.
