My humble contribution to this great thread is the engine bay of a '49 Meteor I built for a customer. Hidden in there are : power steering, A/C, cruise, w.washer, two solenoids, PCV valve, full pressure oil filter, Red's Headers, Holley 4 bbl, Mallory dual points, hand made brackets + shrouds + breather front. All this mounted on an 8BA bored .080 and ported, with a T5 behind it. Hope you like it.

I have a really nice 365 Eldorado engine sitting in my garage all torn down and waiting for a rebuild. The thing was driving just a few years ago. Don't think for a second I don't second guess my choice of running a 265 Chevy engine in my '35 instead of that motor. It taunts me.......taunts me!!!!!!

NICE! What the heck is that finned, heat sink looking thing on the firewall above the evil dagger handles?

AND! What am I looking at BELOW the dagger handles, to the inside of the frame, in the shadows?? I see a fitting and a.... ??

  24. Wow, great stuff! Here are a couple of shots of my engine bays. The last one shows the new accessory for the S.c.o.t.

Its a Zener diode heatsink that the coil lead comes out of, I just like them :)

The block you see is a oil sender block mounted on the frame, I don't like the senders in view so i made up a block to mount the oil gauge & oil light sender its then connects to the engine by a pipe. I made a stainless cover for the senders although only 1 is in this pic.

slowly but surely it's starting to take shape. I'm looking forward to attaching the inner fender panels and detailing the wiring and the bolt on components. Not much bling but I do value clean engine compartments.
