100% and I'm just some 20 year old kid. I didn't even go to a real college, just UTI. But I did take physics in high school, and it wasn't that long ago. My mom always say I should have been a mechanical engineer.

88 fer this ol' fart- gittin' ready to retire. Best single course I ever took in high school was Physics; second best was Mechanical Drawing- didn't have shop or stuff like that "back in the day". Neat test...

Think of the worm gear as a bolt. Look to see if it is right or left handed then see whitch way its being rotated. Is it going to be going into the nut or out. The surface of the other gear is the nut, whitch way does it travel?

I got a 96%, but I cheated. I was in electronics for 20 years in the Marines. The other stuff I learned wrenching on cars. I'm pretty sure I screwed up the block and tackle, I just don't remember the formula!! But hey "Thats why chain hoists and cherry pickers were invented".

  13. Managed to squeek through with a 90. I was amazed at all the stuff I'd forgotten in the 32 years since I was an apprentice Millwright:eek:

I missed the worm gear cause i read the threads backward.

the serpentine one because i screwed up which way the original one was spinning

and the cylinder vacuum one, which as discussed is arguably only part wrong.

Not so good, I got a 90%. That's why they retired me!

  21. 100%

And I agree some of the other academic types, some of the questions were worded very poorly.
