    How about Labe Garaino?
Both Labe and Dick's pictures are hanging at Don Garlits museum last I remember
I was working at "Dave Reids speed shop" at the time after High School
Remember Dave Reid's D/gas 57 Chevy convert called "Motivation?"

Dick actually had two 23 t buckets before he passed. there was an orange one with a single carb and a purple one he had sold to Bill stepp and repurchased in about 1985, this one had a blower. He also had a burgandy 67' Camaro with a tunnel ram and was tubbed out. He was a great guy. I Believe he actually passed in 1988. Also i beleive his daughter Vicki did sell the tbucket quite a few years ago.

Can't believe nobody mentioned Sam Gellner. He had a few gassers back in the day and still has a shop in Parma.

Gellner did my engine as well... The son runs the place now, his dad is still around. They do alot with motor cycles.

Last time I went by Art Arphonses place it still had a sign, Home of the Green Monster. That was 3 years ago. To my klnowledge its still there.

If any one remember Strayer. He ran The prostock 57 chevy under the name UNK. He is still around as well.

And last Roger LaTampa ran with ARt Arphons back in the day from Akron. I am always looking for pics of his Anglia, and other cars. His son has his original Vette. from the late 50's

Anybody know anything about this 316ci Pontiac Blower motor? It came out of Ohio near Akron? Had it shipped to Washington last week.

Here's my dad and his Fathom Green Yenko Camaro at Kil Kare I believe. We think that's his time on the window.. There's tons of stories about him and this car that are somewhat legendary around Dayton. I've heard from strangers about them.

I also heard a story about a guy who had a Yenko back in the day and how the car is still around today..;) I'll never tell though..

  29. Here is one of my ole cars. Ran Ohio mostly from the 80's to present. I just put a fresh 496 in this car on pump gas, dyno'd at 630HP with my 780, before he added the new manifold and dominator, street legal and ready to race. Should be a handful on the street......Belongs to a friend, coming up for sale. gasserted
Car won a Champianship when Mark Horton had it.

A fellow by the name of Ray Sowers from Columbus had a flathead powered roadster that held the national record several times, circa 1960-1962. No pictures but a beautiful home built blue roadster.
