    That's enough sidewall to look good, and if you care about corner-turning grip there's far better tire choices in 16in sizes than in 15in these days; 15in tire selection in larger sizes is not good.

  5. This is a great thread. I am actually currently going through the same thing right now, trying to figure what size to go. I was planning on 15" TT's, but not sure what width I can get away with yet. I have a stock width currie 9". 15 x 5 up front I think, not sure on the rear yet.

    What backspace are the 15 x 7's you bought? I found on my 63 that a 14x7 with 4" back space fits rather well but I'd look for 4-1/2" or better buying new rims. I had these on my 64 Wagon with no issues but the original perches are off center making them a tight fit moving up from 13's on my 63 sedan. Anyway you might want to measure it up just in to be sure before buying tires.

    15x7 Ridler 675s on my '62.
    Bone stock suspension, and the fronts do rub under hard cornering.

    Wheel sizes don't mean much without tire sizes too...
