    This is a snowplane my grandfather built with his brother. It had a model T engine and an airplane prop. It was often used to transport the doctor to remote farms when the roads were snowed in. There is a similar one in the museum in West Yellowstone Montana that I got to show to my son.[​IMG]

  22. Man, y'all are making me homesick.
    There is nothing like riding snowmobiles all night with some friends, stopping in the middle of the woods to build a bondfire and drinking till you can barely make it home.
    And, I haven't had a white Christmas in 6 years.

    This is the bane of my existence right now ... I got it last week and with A LOT of love, it could be my new parts chaser/hauler in the summer ... right now it is all I can do to keep it running and/or stop. I'm slowly replacing every brake part on the damn thing and I can assure you it is no fun doing that when it's 10 below. Brrrrr ....

    And before that, the Soviets stole it from us! :D In the 1920's there was a kit you could buy to add two worm drives to a Fordson tractor.
