It's Friday "over there!" Just wanted to give a shout out to David Lozeau aka Clysdale. I've admired his work for a while. I think I "discovered" him on here? Anyhow... I ordered one of his books and he includes a "sketch" in the front. I asked if he could personalize it it 'ol Skate Fink. He did!!

I'm just BLOWN AWAY!! Many thanks David... www.davidlozeau.com

Just a minute or two early!

This was kind of a test. Wasn't feeling particularly creative. Some say creativity can't be forced. I pushed through. The idea going in was a relatively simple, smaller scale hot rod. I'm happy with it.

And I've taken to drawing on my desk when I can't seem to concentrate...just like I used to do in school. I figure at some point I'll have most of my bench covered :)

From Alex Tremulis, one of the first flying saucer illustrations (c.1948), then made into a design patent (1951), then cast as a hood ornament (1951):

I was at The Gathering of Kustoms and admired Marie Odell's '60 caddy again. It had this strange freaky glow coming out from underneath so I thought it would make a good scratchboard design. Or maybe I just imagined it. Spoggie; Stay with the series - very tasty. Those customcory scraps get me every time. Funny that Alex Tremulis was such a perfectionist that he would include the scale of man to martian. Love the kid in the 13 car. Love all the other stuff too.

  14. Nice beginnings boys! While awaiting my new photoshop program and other accessories,
I'll have to share some re-pops...
    How about fenders and fins...

  15. Bo, that Caddy kicks butt!

    Neil, Bernie, you're my heros...

    wheeler.t, nice work!

evil dead, killer little wheels! That kid looks like the terror of the tarmac!

gyronaut, OT but who can ever get tired of looking at Mr. Tremulis' work! By default,
as part of the 150's and '60's connection between the space age and auto design, this
seems completely On Topic and relevant. Bravo!

    Lemorris, absolutely love 'em!

Jason, love the bike and "Tailwind" is cool.

realkustom51, Cory's doodles are groovy man!

Something about that one of the old Ute just speaks volumes Spoggie. Cool stuff mate!

Way to get it started Skate Fink, Dave's work is astounding! What a treasure.

  26. Absolutely incredible stuff on here again, guys!
Lowcab, I'm really lovin' that 'T' study:)

    Mine's another oldie this week.
Hand-painted showboard I did for my bucket about 12 years back. Enamel on a candy baseboard.
Just retrieved it from a gallery who've had it sitting in their storeroom for the past year, hence the broken shift lever.:(
