'51 5W daily transportation. '57 261/Saginaw passenger car 4speed/3:54 rear end. 3"dropped axle/mono leaf. Still dialing in the suspension/ride height... rear needs to be one or two inches lower.
Originally built as a restored truck for a lady in Austin TX. A friend there found it and helped me buy it and ship it to Nevada. Decent work, but a long way from finished and dependable... Entire suspension/brakes have been either replaced or re-done, needed to be re-wired. New tires. Lots of paint detailing and refinishing of the bed wood, etc. But the price was right and I haven't had to spend much (so far) to make it right. Turning out to be a good driver, though and a lot of fun to drive.

Heres a shot of my 54 the first day I got it. It's pulled apart right now and is getting some much needed love.

Right now it has 20x8.5s on the front and 22x10(5 bs) on the rear. I ran a 255/35/20 on the front and a 305/40/22 in the rear. I have a ton of room so after these get smoked off will prolly go with something wider. I still want to get me some 15x10s for the rear in a steel wheel for tradinational shows.

And the sale of the 'Burb broke my heart I might add.

I should have bought it, would have lost Mrs. Trucked Up but nice 'Burbs are harder to find.....................:D

Case in point............this weekend GG's Charlotte.

Got to see your ride personally this weekend and I am impressed.

The public was also. Sad to say the powers that be don't show the same respect.............Are you paying attention Classic Trucks?

    Politics.............Simply politics.

  26. A 1st series I bought a couple weeks back. Southern Idaho rust free truck.
