CL! ... but ironically, our Corporate IT dept. just sent out a "Network Traffic" e-mail stating that the use of file sharing, audio-video streaming, and/or social networking websites is no longer authorized on the corporate network. I knew this day would come ... and I really have no issue with it as I get paid to work (not surf the Internet) ... but now I can no longer browse the HAMB during my lunch hour! I guess my "HAMBing" will be limited to my home computer, my laptop, or my handheld wireless device.
So far so good. The only thing that came as a surprise was the 1000 character limit in a social group post. That's really not a lot of characters. I guess if it was this way before I never noticed.
Ryan, I really like the red hi-light on where you have been to read....nice touch. The rest is pretty sweet as well. John
Hey Ryan - can you enable RSS feeds for social groups? That may not be supported but it would be a great way for people to keep up with all their groups without having to visit each one...
All I gotta add is "Thanks!" Everything's working great over here! Your efforts are very much appreciated
Thanks! I think this whole thing is going to have a HUGE effect on the HAMB - very cool stuff, Ryan. Good work!
Very cool. A good place to discuss offline but related projects, this is going to really take off! Mark
At this time, the HAMB is not considered a social networking site (by my IT Dept). If I wander into one of the Social Groups, are they addressed as social sites? Not sure how this all works and I don't want to get slammed. Thanks for all the hard work.
Ryan, Can we please have the "View First Unread" feature inside the social groups as well as on the main forum? -and- I'm not getting the red vs black type. If red is meant to represent the stuff you've already opened/read, it's not working accurately. If it means something else, please explain. Thanks!
Yes. That is coming... And the the red/black text thing was a bug. I just fixed it... There is no new feature there. I don't consider it a social network... If it were, you would be slammed with advertising and bad sales text.
I hope this BS doesn't catch on where I work! Hate to give up my HAMBurger for lunch every day. Thanks for the upgrade.
My "Information Dirt Road travelin' Ass" is lost .......again!!!!!! Gimme' a few months, Boss, before you change again....................I'll prolly' figure it out by then.......... Thanks for the upgrades......I think.
Hey, you're preachin' to the choir, brother! Maybe THEY should be paying YOU to testbed some stuff for 'em! ~Jason
