Oh Yeah - Linda. This Picture was taken at the Summer Nationals in Englishtown, summer of '79. She and I, both looked a little younger back then.

Nothing like looking at some 80 year old chick's tits to put me off my lunch.

Jesus, put some clothes on Grandma.

Remember first seeing her at the Nationals (Indy, THE Nationals) in the mid 60's. My wife and I got to meet and talk to her for quite awhile at a rod run a few years back. Classy Lady. :) Yeah, like someone else said, we both look older but SHE still looks nice-me, not so good!:(

The famous "Night Before the 500" Midget race at IRP in the early 80s. Linda was there and welcomed all the drivers in introductions. I'm not sure Warren Mockler's attention was on the handshake.

I've read somewhere that she has an uncanny memory for faces and names for people she met years ago.

I can tell you for a fact that she is famous for remembering people and their cars--regular guys, not racers or corporate types. It really is impressive.

  21. I agree 100%. I have heard she is a very nice lady as well. What if she reads that? Not a very nice thing to say. I'm sure he is the minority.

  23. For all of us who grew up pouring over Hot Rod and Car Craft in the 60's & 70's she is as much about racing and it's culture as anything else.

She's an American icon and musta had a helluva life so far.

  24. I'll sum her up in 3 words, "in a flash". The babe still has it.

yup, she was the original car girl.

  27. Linda autographed my truck at York Nostalgia Nationals in July. She is definetly HAMB friendly. Asked her if she was doing a lot of events and her response was "Honey, they're working my ass off."

She was the special guest at the Wheels of Time Macungie show a few years ago. My brother, from FL, told me to ask her if she remembered my niece. Linda had talked to my niece at the opening of some auto warehouse about 15 year before. SHe also let her hang around a while and help her when she signe autographs. My niece was about 10 or so. I asked Linda if she remembered a little girl at the opening of the Atlanta warehouse. She said "Abby?" Yes that is my niece's name. Nice lady!!!

Doubt very much if she is "80 years old". Likely much closer to my age (66). Just remember, some day you will be this old and just maybe "grandma" might not look so bad then. You will be lucky if some of your young chicky friends now look this good when they are Lindas age. Met and talked with her. Quite chatty and fun.
