What he really wants is a pair of billit multi spoke front wheels instead of the five spokes and then either keep them polished or woodgrain the spokes. Putting wires on the front would be hard on him because of the upkeep. One condition he suffers with is that the joints and tendens in his hands become inflamed (feels like they are on fire) when worked too hard and the meds just wipe him out.
And by the way the project before this was his blown top fuel funny bike--also street legal and driven.
John is both sick in the body--and the head

I saw some photo recently of that part in a warehouse over seas(England?), Don't know if they were stolen or what but if I can find the photos , I'll post 'em. Some others were there as well...sitting out in the elements going to hell. Such a shame. There were some Barris stuff as well.

Hey Aaron..on a side note I used to live 3 houses down from Paul Revere in Boise, Idaho. Me and a bud would sit in his boat parked in his driveway and drink beer, he would come out and join us..good times!

It just blows me away to see what ends up happening to some of this stuff.I dont know if there was any truth to what I was told as a kid or if it was one of those I have a famous uncle stories but I used to live in Hutchinson Kansas and a kid I went to school with told me in what seemed to be a casual not hiped up conversation, that his uncle was Paul Revere of the band.Who knows?

Thanks for sharing this story of his dedication. His car is a hoot and I would love to see it in person. Definitely fits in with the spirit of the other cars in this thread and is a testament to his imagination and persistence.

  13. Does anyone remember seeing the Tastee Freez T-bucket? Last I saw of it was in Downey, CA.

    Chris[/QUOTE]

Just joined this list and saw this. I currently own the 1966 Tastee Freez Barris built t-bucket here in NJ. I've had it 8+ or so years now and had the seats & carpets redone. Other than a pair of new front tires its all original but probably looks different than any of the photos you may have seen. The car went back to the Barris shops in early 70's and they made a few changes. They built a new body that looks better, dropped the front end, took off 2 of the fake blowers and now has a windshield. There was supposed to be a custom trailer for it at one time but no one knows what became of that. I should have it on the road again in 2010.

After reading this entire thread and reliving lots of memories of my childhood, I have been searching the web, but having no luck, for info on a car that was at the World of Wheels show in Eugene Oregon, probably around 1980 or so. It was themed after tv show "Mork and Mindy". I think it was called the "morkmobile". It was basically a big white egg on wheels. It had some rainbow seat inserts, and the steering wheel was on the end of a arm that came out of the center of the dash, like there was a chain inside the arm to ofset the wheel over to the side. It may have been able to swing the wheel over to the other side.
Does anybody know anything about this car?
