That's the best wurst that's ever come down the pike! It does look a little overstuffed. Your tank is sleek, and I'm at least as impressed with your ability to have stuffed everything in the casing.

Tell me that tank body was dropped into his backyard by a passing P-38 in 1945...

Cool project. Anybody know what the front brakes are? I've never seen dual wheel cylinders...

A blown Hemi powered Tiger would be cool too.

    ok once again
i wasn´t able to post it
but you probably expected that i am not into computerstuff

thanks everybody for the interest in our project and all the nice comments

    to make it short
you can see the build up in www.konfederateklassiks.de or on the "official tank-site" www.rennabteilung.de (i.e.Race Dept.) or see us on the salt next year

the brakes are 1955 Chysler, the axles 1948 Merc, Steering 1955 Ford, Master Cyl, 1955 Chevy, Frame built from scratch, Blower is a 6-71 Diesel, No Aftermarket, Vertex Magneto, 6 Holleys, etc.
Cage and other safety equipment will follow. As The Quick Change Rearend will.

Everything is pretty well 1950´s style and period correct
I will try to brake the Record in Lakster D Class which was 211 mph......... in 1955

I found the P-47 Tank NOS in Nebraska and have a 2nd one 4sale in Los Angeles. I did not find it in my backyard, ::)

Some of you guys have funny ideas if it comes to Germans and Tanks, but believe me, I am not interested in that sort of tanks.

(Did i mention that i stuffed a 1700 cid Rolls Royce Tank engine
in a 1955 Chevy Truck Chassis? Well that´s another story)

    Thanks for your interest

Oh, and next year at bonneville let's find a downhill road and have an old fashioned soap box derby race with our tanks. We'll find out who's more aerodynamic. haha.

    Hmmm,

Sitting way far forward in an aluminum cigar at 200 mph with a blown Hemi tickling the hairs on the back of your neck. Very cool.

Tom ´s crazy as hell and a original native Bavarian like I am.
But I bet if you checked Google for " Bavarian Hillbilly Gearhead" Tom´s photo would pop up.hahahaha His stuff is well built and usually reliable as he proofed when he raced his 54 Chrysler through Mexico( Panamericana)

I can´t wait to see him race on the salt next year , I´ll bring a barrel of beer.

While you're here... what's a guy like me have to do to get one of the shirts from your site? I don't know the protocol on paying Euros... I'm a dollar kinda guy, myself. :)
