Ach du lieber himmel! That's the best wurst that's ever come down the pike! It does look a little overstuffed. Your tank is sleek, and I'm at least as impressed with your ability to have stuffed everything in the casing.

I talked with him a while back (http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2007/05/28/bombs-over-bonneville-the-german-invasion-plan/). He said he bought the tanks in the U.S. and had them shipped to Germany. I know, I was also expecting him to say they were dropped over old Deutschland. dan

ok once again i wasn´t able to post it but you probably expected that i am not into computerstuff thanks everybody for the interest in our project and all the nice comments to make it short you can see the build up in www.konfederateklassiks.de or on the "official tank-site" www.rennabteilung.de (i.e.Race Dept.) or see us on the salt next year the brakes are 1955 Chysler, the axles 1948 Merc, Steering 1955 Ford, Master Cyl, 1955 Chevy, Frame built from scratch, Blower is a 6-71 Diesel, No Aftermarket, Vertex Magneto, 6 Holleys, etc. Cage and other safety equipment will follow.As The Quick Change Rearend will. Everything is pretty well 1950´s style and period correct I will try to brake the Record in Lakster D Class which was 211 mph......... in 1955 I found the P-47 Tank NOS in Nebraska and have a 2nd one 4sale in Los Angeles. I did not find it in my backyard, : Some of you guys have funny ideas if it comes to Germans and Tanks, but believe me, I am not interested in that sort of tanks. Tom ´s crazy as hell and a original native Bavarian like I am. But I bet if you checked Google for " Bavarian Hillbilly Gearhead" Tom´s photo would pop up.hahahaha His stuff is well built and usually reliable as he proofed when he raced his 54 Chrysler through Mexico( Panamericana) I can´t wait to see him race on the salt next year , I´ll bring a barrel of beer.
