  2. Sharp looking car in many respects but I think a chop was due in conjunction with the section. The greenhouse looks disproportionate to me.

What ever happened to those Perky Push-em Up training bras?

I could always tell a Sam Foose done '40 Ford. He really knows how to pull the body lines together. Wish I could find a pic of the yellow Sedan delivery, or the coupe with a chopped top and Tudor sedan doors that he did... anybody?

  7. Unchopped sectioned cars (especially a shoebox ford sedan) are hideous.

I remember that Hot Rod did a Rod Test on a '47 or '48 Ford coupe that Sam built back in the mid 70's. That was a real work of art.

Sam Foose has got to be on of the most ignored masters out there. Consider that most (if not all ) of his work has been done in one man shop and you'll soon find he must be a human dynamo to turn out the body of work he has produced.

I usually dont care for sectioned unchopped cars but this one is the exception. It is very clean and stylish and looks very good as is (was)

I had a model a for a bit that came out of Sam's shop. Incredible bodylines, especially for a little '29 and the most subtle customization. One hell of a builder.

Once again,"less is more", equates to a fine car. Keep it simple.

  24. I don't remember an HRM Rod Test on a Sam Foose built '47 or '48 Ford (not sayin' there wasn't one, I just don't remember it) ... but here's the "FOOSE'S FORD" article that appeared in the Aug. '77 issue of 1001 Custom & ROD Ideas:

I had this magazine when it came out. just got another copy in a box of 70's Street Rodders a buddy was going to throw out . I thought that was a very cool car at the time and still do.

don't see to many checkerboard engine compartments ... that's got to be a lot of work

  29. If memory serves me, he also did the patch panels and body work on this:

The Bud Bryan roadster...one of the icons of the new "old style" built in the late sixties. Stunning!

There always has to be the dig from a malcontent.

As a father, it seems like Sam did a damn good job.
